The “Haunted House Extravaganza” is a yearly celebration created to foster a safe environment and a “trick-or-treating” alternative for Dorchester youth. This year’s event was co-sponsored by the Volunteers of America Massachusetts Boston Action Team.
The Boston Action Team is a group of community-minded high school students working with the players to inspire and train the next generation of volunteers. Volunteers of America, Massachusetts’ programs support and empower the area’s most vulnerable groups, including at-risk youth, low-income elderly and men and women in substance abuse recovery programs.
