We've been around, we'll be around, you can count on us.

Volunteers of America has served the people of Massachusetts since 1931. Undertaking the movement started in 1896 by social reformers Ballington and Maud Booth, Volunteers of America Massachusetts is dedicated to "reaching and uplifting" the Greater Boston communities.

Last year, Volunteers of America Massachusetts served over 2,000 adolescents, adults and elders. Going wherever we are needed and doing whatever comes to hand; we reach out to those most in need, especially the vulnerable, the hardest to serve, and those facing multiple challenges.

Our work would not be possible without the support and donations from local businesses, individuals, community organizations, and volunteers.

Our nine human service programs directly address the quality of life in Massachusetts. We aim to meet the material, emotional, and spiritual needs of individuals. By strengthening families and building healthier, more productive communities we are committed to a comprehensive mission to serve the whole person.
