Will, a Concord Park resident, shares his story...

Having been married for 69 years Will, 93, was accustomed to the comforts of his own home. His Daughter, Diana, wasn't sure how her father would react to living at Concord Park. Will had taken care of his wife for a period of time before she died of advanced dementia. He retired at 62 and they lived on Cape Cod for 30 years. "There came a time when I couldn't take care of my wife and she went to a nursing home and eventually died," Will remembers. He didn't want to live with his children, but with health problems of his own he couldn't continue to live alone on the Cape. "Now he's like a new man," his daughter Diana says. "There's something special at Concord Park that's brought out the best in him," and Will agrees. "Living at Concord Park has brightened my life," he says. "The residents and staff can't do enough for each other. We're really family to each other." Will doesn't know how he's lived to be 93, but he's thankful to have found a new life filled with interaction and surrounded by family, new and old.
